With new partnerships, new facilities, and a record-breaking order intake, HydX enters 2025.
"We feel a strong sense of optimism about the future and increased opportunities for continued growth," says COO Mattias Salomonsson.
At the end of 2024, HydX moved a few hundred meters east within the Öja Industrial Area outside Ystad. The company relocated to its new environmentally certified facilities, designed to improve the working environment, handle increased order volumes, and support further growth.
"We're making major investments to take the next step, and the order intake we're seeing now would not have been possible in our previous premises," explains HydX COO Mattias Salomonsson.
The new facilities include 1,000 sqm of office space, 3,400 sqm of warehouse, and 9,000 sqm of outdoor storage areas, all prepared to support further expansion. In the production area, three new automated storage systems have been installed to streamline operations, improve the working environment, minimise errors, and save floor space.
The well-designed space also accommodates the valve block initiative launched by HydX last year, as well as dedicated areas for the Nordic region's first Parker Certified Mobile Electrification Centre.
HydX and its sister company ETP are the first Nordic Parker distributors to complete the extensive assessment and training process required to achieve CMEC certification. They are tasked with helping manufacturers of mobile machinery electrify their fleets.
Add to that an expanded collaboration between HydX and Danfoss Power Solutions, one of the world's largest manufacturers of control electronics and hydraulics. In April last year, an agreement was signed placing both a PVG and an HIC Build Centre in HydX's newly built facilities.
"We place great value on genuine partnerships with both customers and suppliers. We have ambitious growth targets and a strong belief in the future," explains Mattias Salomonsson.
HydX Maintains Focus on Growth
HydX currently operates in four locations in Sweden, with sales offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg, a complete electronics department in Halmstad for the development, implementation, and installation of both mobile technology and customised electronics hardware, and with headquarters, warehouse, and production in Ystad.
To meet future demands and the growing need for skilled employees, the company plans to increase its collaboration with several leading technical universities and vocational training programs.
"We are planning further recruitment during 2025, and over the next five years, we expect to hire up to 25 people across various locations in Sweden. We need more skilled personnel to meet our ambitious growth targets and continue developing as a company," says the HydX COO.
Thanks to the new, modern, and spacious facilities, there is room for further expansion. The well-established partnerships, strong customer relationships, and deep expertise within the company also contribute significantly to HydX's continued growth.
"Now we just want to unleash the full potential of the facilities, ensure the new, larger spaces are used as efficiently as possible, and once we've optimised the workflows, see how far we can push the space before it's time to expand again," concludes Mattias Salomonsson.
2025 marks the beginning of the next phase in HydX's journey toward the ambitious five-year plan leading up to the company's 20th anniversary in 2029.
