At this time of year, I usually take a moment to reflect on the past twelve months, and in 2024, we at HydX look back on an intense and highly successful year. A year marked by significant changes, beginning with the integration of Mobile Integrator into the company, which means HydX now operates from four locations: Ystad, Gothenburg, Stockholm, and Halmstad. In Halmstad, we have a complete electronics department working with the development, implementation, and system installation of mobile electronics, as well as the design and production of customised electronic hardware.
Throughout the year, we also focused heavily on completing our new environmentally certified headquarters. It includes 1,000 sqm of office space, 3,400 sqm for warehouse and production, and 9,000 sqm of outdoor storage areas.
We broke ground on the new building in the Öja Industrial Area in the summer of 2023, and together with our dedicated team, we completed the entire move at the turn of October and November 2024.
The move was scheduled to take two weeks. Still, after just one week, we were already able to begin our first deliveries – a testament to the fantastic team we have at HydX, where everyone pitches in, focuses on the team’s goals, and shares their knowledge and time without ego, all while pursuing a common ambition.
To make it great
As part of the move, we also carried out extensive work to install our new warehouse robots, which improve the working environment, streamline operations, and give us the capacity to grow even further.
The new facilities are essential for achieving our ambitious plans for the future. During the year, HydX was named the Nordic region’s first Parker Certified Mobile Electrification Centre, opening the door to a new era of mobile hybrid-electric machines. We are now also certified for two Danfoss Build Centres—Danfoss PVG and HIC Build Centre—which further demonstrates the mutual trust and close collaboration between HydX and Danfoss Power Solutions.
Thanks to the new facilities, we have plenty of room for continued development, and we look to the future with confidence.
Order intake in 2024 has reached record levels, invoicing is stable, and the trend continues upward. Our facilities are prepared to support further growth, and we are working toward an ambitious five-year plan to ensure the company is just as strong and ready to celebrate another successful milestone when we turn 20 in 2029.
The major challenge ahead lies in securing the right talent to support continued growth, while maintaining the same focus, ambition, and collaborative spirit within the company.
We currently have a strong partnership with Ystad Upper Secondary School. We are working to deepen our collaboration with leading technical universities in Lund and Linköping, as well as Chalmers in Gothenburg and KTH in Stockholm.
After such a rewarding anniversary year, it feels incredibly exciting to say that we are ready to begin writing the next chapter in the HydX story.
