Ljungby Maskin was looking for a new partner. They found HydX - a partner that understands their challenges, prioritises them and always delivers on time. Ten years later, the business has grown, and neither party has ever regretted their choice.

Despite an extensive network and long-standing partnerships, Ljungby Maskin got stuck. Some of their suppliers were unable to meet the promised schedule, resulting in the newly produced and customised wheel loaders being left in the factory and causing customer dissatisfaction. Customers with particular requirements, such as those working with fertilisers, salt, and pellets, demand a wheel loader that is customised for their purposes and is in place when the contract with their partner starts. A delay risks Ljungby Maskin's entire business.

Focusing on the customer's customer

A decade ago, Ljungby Maskin started buying hybrid valves and hydraulic blocks for the brake systems on the wheel loaders it customises for its customers around Europe. But the partnership has evolved, and today Ljungby Maskin sees HydX as a technical partner that contributes all the way from innovation to development and production.

Ljungby Maskin appreciates that HydX employees are available and interested, and that their expertise means they can always suggest a solution when a problem arises. The collaboration has grown continuously and now also includes hydraulic blocks in its joint business.

HydX is easy to work with. When one of our customers requests a change, we can quickly call HydX. They pick up straight away, we brainstorm ideas together, and within a short time, they provide a sketch or drawing. The service is extraordinary, and the quality is on par with other suppliers. HydX is committed to the process and delivers blocks at a better price than others, which helps us reduce costs.

Not a single production stoppage

The company aims to deliver four wheel loaders a week, a pace that needs to be maintained all year round for the business model to work. And with HydX as a partner, it works seamlessly without any production downtime.

"We haven't had a single production stoppage since we started working together more than ten years ago. We need a partner that can adapt to our end customers and provide effective solutions. If something is missing, they always offer an adequate replacement," explains Jimmie Pettersson.

About Ljungby Maskin

In 1983, the first wheel loader rolled out of Ljungby Maskin in Småland. Since then, more than 5,000 wheel loaders have been delivered to customers around Europe. The company produces around 200 machines every year and is a relatively small, niche company, which in every respect must always be better than its competitors.

"We need to have a partner who is willing to cooperate, take on the challenges that come, and constantly adapt to our end customers. HydX does that," says Jimmie Pettersson.

The company constantly develops its machines together with its customers, which means that the machines that leave the factory are often customised. Many practical solutions are incorporated into today's standard machine. Customers have specific wishes and special needs, which develop and place high demands on excellence and innovation in areas such as design, mechanics, hydraulics, and electronics.

It also means that the company's partners need to be responsive, flexible, extremely competent, and keep up with the constant developments.
