In 2024, HydX is turning 15 years old and relocating to new premises in Ystad. Construction of the new premises is expected to start in late summer 2023 and will be completed the next year. “This is yet another step towards achieving a future-proof HydX and guaranteeing our company’s continued growth,” says CEO Mikael Andersson.
The new building will be located near the current head office, in the Öja business district on the outskirts of Ystad. The total area makes up close to 9,000 m2, the head office is 4,400 m2, of which 1,000 m2 is office premises and 3,400 m2 is intended for warehouse and production facilities. “We have reached the limit of what our current facilities can handle, and we need a larger surface area to be able to grow in line with our ambitions,” says Mikael Andersson. The Torngrund Group is the project manager for the new building and HydX has signed a 12-year agreement with the company. The building will be erected in accordance with Torngrund’s environmental policy and certified as Miljöbyggnad Silver by Sweden Green Building Council. The construction project will be headed by Torngrund Group’s own construction company, Krafthus AB. “For us, staying in Ystad was the obvious choice. This is where the heart of the business lies and here we can find the competence we need. We have an ambitious growth plan and the future looks bright,” continues Andersson. HydX Hydraulics Solutions was established in Ystad in 2009 and is one of the most competitive and innovative hydraulics companies in the Nordics, with expertise in hydraulics and electronics for mobile, industrial and marine applications, as well as unique competence in lubrication technology and control systems. The company is part of Volito Automation and is growing continuously. Today, HydX has a sales office in Finland, Gothenburg and Stockholm. The Stockholm office recently moved to new premises, centrally located in Hammarby, Sjöstad. The goal is to grow the company further over the upcoming years. “We see the future as very bright and, to me, as CEO, and to our employees, this shows that our owners believe in us and are happy with the work we do. This is the next step in our evolution,” concludes Mikael Andersson. Construction is planned to begin in Q3 2023 and the move is planned for Q2–Q3 2024.
