In 2024, HydX will turn fifteen. After fifteen successful years, we continue to grow. This is something to be proud of. It has been fifteen years since we, five guys from Ystad, established HydX. Today, three of us still remain at the company and since Volito Automation took over as the owner in 2010, the company has continued to develop and grow. We had a goal to one day be the Nordics’ most competitive and innovative hydraulics company, and today we have achieved that goal and we continuously work to develop our competence further. Today, our expertise is wide-reaching and we have extensive competence in both hydraulics and electronics for industrial, mobile and marine applications, as well as unique competence in lubrication technology, electric drives, battery solutions and control systems. We offer a broad array of sustainable, effective and customised solutions in the combination that the customer needs. We can be found in five locations in Sweden and Finland, have experienced employees with a strong sense of what customers value and who build long-lasting relationships with our partners. Our customers and partners challenge us each day and their journey towards the technology of the future is also part of our journey, and together we have found new innovative solutions and continue to grow.
The first fifteen years of HydX’s history were fantastic. We have always been extremely focused on attaining our goals, we follow a strategy, have incredible colleagues who are there for our team and continue to take HydX into the future. Part of this strategy is our goal-oriented work on competence management and, for example, we have co-operated with the fourth-year technical students at Ystads Gymnasium. During the year we have been able to employ several new graduates and very competent employees who receive continued support from our experienced professionals. We have a successful mentorship programme where older colleagues support and train our newcomers so that we can take HydX into the future. We work to achieve the UN’s 17 global goals, including improvements in fair employment terms, an equal workplace, quality education and an investment in sustainable industry.
Recent years have presented major challenges, from the pandemic to longer lead times, inflation and major shifts in price trends. We and our customers have been affected by the changes taking place in the world around us, but thanks to our immense flexibility and the major commitment from our employees and partners, we have successfully steered out of the crisis. During 2024, we will move to our new headquarters in the Öja industrial district outside Ystad. The move will be the crowning moment of our anniversary and gives us the chance to continue on our growth journey. During the year, we are also investing in valve blocks, and we have already employed two more salespersons with a focus on larger customers. It is unbelievably inspiring to be part of a company and workplace that continuously strives to move forward, that sees opportunities instead of limitations, and that exudes a sense of togetherness and looks to the future. This is something we should all be proud of. We are now looking forward to the move, which marks the launch of HydX 3.0 and the next chapter in the history that we are shaping together – owners, colleagues, partners and customers alike.
